Course Title: Anatomy and Physiology
Prerequisites:Successful completion of Biology/Honors Biology and
Chemistry/Honors Chemistry
Description:
This course is designed to present a detailed study of the relationship between the
structure and function and form of the human body and the chemical and physical
processes that allow it to function. Anatomy will include the muscles, bones, nerves,
veins, and organs necessary for normal body functions. In addition, all body systems
will be explored-skeletal, muscular, nervous, sensory, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory,
digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Physiology is the study of what goes on
inside the “anatomy” during everyday life and during physical exertion.
Intended Audience:High School Students, Grade 11-12, Credit: 1 Unit
